INSPIRING CREATIVITY AND EMPOWERING WOMEN
At Sportscraft, we are proud to support #AccelerateAction by championing women’s creativity in all its forms.
This International Women’s Day, we sat down with four talented women from our team who bring their creativity to life in their roles every day.

Introducing Maria Rinaldi, Design Director, who shapes the creative vision of Sportscraft. Working closely with design, marketing, and brand leaders, Maria brings our vision to life.
What inspires you to create, and how do you express your creativity?
La dolce vita—life is sweet! I see creativity everywhere. I surround myself with colour and find inspiration in interiors and furniture trends, which influence both my home and my design approach.
Who are the women that inspire you, and why?
Jane Birkin and my mum inspire me. They both express their style in a chic yet simple way, always staying true to their heritage.
What advice would you give to young women looking to pursue a creative career?
Be you! Stay curious, think outside the box, and most importantly - have fun.

As a Senior Buyer, Sidra Chowdhury blends analytics with creativity to curate collections that feel modern and timeless.

It’s exciting to evolve the brand while staying true to what our customers love. Creativity lies in the details—fabric innovations, silhouette refinements, and curating pieces that feel effortlessly stylish.

It’s a time to celebrate women’s achievements and keep pushing for equality. Fashion has long been shaped by incredible women, and I’m proud to be part of an industry where female voices have such influence.

Liza Vella plays a key role in leading our creative team and bringing our collections to life through inspiring campaigns that connect with our community.
What advice would you give to young women looking to pursue a creative career?
Creativity isn’t a 9-to-5 job—ideas can strike anytime. Keep a notepad handy, work hard, and surround yourself with the right team. Passion makes even the longest days worthwhile.
What inspires you to create, and how do you express your creativity?
Creativity knows no bounds but for me largely its drawn from fashion, art, interiors, music and travel. A street style moment, a colour, or an art exhibition can spark inspiration in unexpected ways.
What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
It’s about recognising progress while acknowledging there’s still work to do. Being part of a team of brilliant women, it’s important to support and uplift one another.

How does being part of Sportscraft allow you to express your creativity? I love the freedom to explore new ideas—technologies, trends, fabrics, colours—before refining them into a collection that stays true to our brand. Collaboration fuels creativity, and a great work-life balance keeps my creative energy flowing.
What inspires you to create, and how do you express your creativity? My daughters are a constant source of inspiration. Whether inventing bedtime stories or fairy adventures in the garden, they remind me how joyful it is to create without limits.
Who are the women that inspire you, and why? My mum—she paved the way for my sister and me, always encouraging us to try new things. She even went skydiving with me, despite it being her worst nightmare!
